For as long as I can remember I have been interested in sacred and spiritual imagery. Mandalas have rich spiritual and ritual history throughout the world. In this series, I am using the circular shape of a mandala as the starting point and then working on the pieces in a stream of consciousness kind of way. Not really having a plan as I go, I am responding to the shapes, colors, and textures present to figure out my next steps. These have been breath of fresh air after working on some larger more structured pieces recently.
