Once Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear’s daily 5 o’clock updates began during the COVID19 quarantine, I decided I should make a portrait of him. I wanted to put some kind of spin on the work, and the other day it hit me. I was mindlessly scrolling TikTok and realized that he should be doing a popular dance move from the app. Both Beshear and TikTok have taken up lots of attention during this unprecedented shut down so I thought it would be great to capture them both in one artwork.

This quarantine has been an amazing time to be a Kentuckian. Governor Andy Beshear has been a great leader for the Commonwealth. I created this artwork as a celebration of that leadership.
